Kilfoy Cabinets is the life’s work of Emma & Shaun Kilfoy.

The journey to being one of Cairns most respected Kitchen and Cabinet makers has been more than a decade in the making.

After working as a cabinet maker in Cairns for 10 years, during September 2003 Shaun’s employer decided to relocate to the Gold Coast - we were at a fork in the road.

Together, we decided to “give it a go” and Shaun Kilfoy Cabinets & Joinery was established.  It was run our from under our high-set Queenslander working 18 hour days 7 days a week.  By Christmas of that year we had replaced Shaun’s wage and we were able lease a shed, buy some tools and still pay our mortgage and eat!

With the birth of our first boy (Nick) in 2005, Emma began working full-time in the business.  In 2007 we followed Nick up with Jamie. These days Nick works in the business as his holiday job.

Our family isn’t the only thing to expand.  Over the past 18 years our shed has gone from 75m2 to over 700m2.  We have invested heavily in the latest plant, machinery and software which allows our customers to view their kitchen in 3D before manufacturing begins. 

We have also built a boutique kitchen showroom in our new premises where our customers can view all their options and finalise their cabinetry.

We currently employ 11 staff, and are looking to expand – always.

2. Provide a workplace that recognises staff and inspires them to achieve their career goals, by providing ongoing, training utilising the latest technology and providing challenges that will strengthen their skills and satisfy their progression ambitions.
3. To develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers, which in turn will provide our customers with flawless service and product.
